Description
Could you become a Sightline Superstar?
Hello! We’re Sightline; a small sight loss charity offering telephone befriending to people in the sight loss community across England and Wales. It’s our mission to try and help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation that can be felt by someone living with sight loss.
How can you help? Well, we’re in need of more telephone befrienders to add to our wonderful small team of volunteers, or as we fondly refer to them, our Sightline Superstars! You’ll be offering friendship over the phone once a week to someone in the sight loss community.
We don’t ask for anything, other than you are friendly and reliable, and can spare less than an hour each week from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you choose.
Volunteering opportunities don’t get much easier than that, do they?
The calls are completely FREE and confidential (no numbers exchanged – we take care of that) and can be super rewarding!
We welcome people from all walks of life and can promise you will make a real difference to your befriendee.
Don’t just take our word for it - have a listen to what Jacqueline; one of our lovely service users, says about the difference our telephone befriending service makes.

There are also lots of heartwarming stories over on the Sightline Stories page of our website.
