We are thrilled to announce that Seema Flower, Managing Director of Blind Ambition, made a triumphant return to her old stomping ground—Salon International 2024! Seema was there to continue her mission of championing accessibility in the hair and beauty industry, and it was an incredibly productive event.

Over the course of the three-day event, held from 12-14 October at ExCeL London, Seema reconnected with old contacts and forged new relationships, all in the name of making salons more accessible for everyone. A special thanks goes out to Mike Cooper and Mus at Inspiring Salons stand 160 and Caroline and her the team at National Hairdressers Federation (NHBF), who both kindly agreed to include Blind Ambition’s accessibility flier in the goodie bags for all visitors this year. This means the important message of making salons more accessible will reach thousands of professionals in the industry.

Salon International is THE hairdressing event of the year. #SALON24 is where innovation meets artistry, connecting hairdressing professionals with leading brands, exclusive deals, unparalleled education, and inspiration from industry icons. Seema’s participation in this prestigious event is part of her ongoing effort to ensure that the conversation around accessibility becomes a key focus for salon owners and professionals.

This follows Seema’s recent feature in Salon Magazine, where she highlighted the need for more accessible salon environments. From ensuring ease of access for wheelchair users to making salons more welcoming for individuals with visual impairments, neurodiversity, or mobility challenges, Seema’s advocacy continues to inspire change.

We’re excited to see the industry taking steps toward inclusivity and can’t wait to see how salons across the UK respond. If you haven’t already, make sure to secure your tickets for next year’s #SALON25—you won’t want to miss it!

For more information about how your salon can become more accessible or to book a consultation, contact us at contact@blindambition.co.uk or call us on 020 3886 2020. Let’s make the beauty industry accessible for everyone!
